WebTerm X - with Secure Shell Security

WebTerm X with Secure Shell Security

WebTerm X 4.0.3 released!

WebTerm X provides seamless access to X Windows and X  applications from within Web browsers or as a powerful stand-alone X server. At its core is an X server that supports Secure Shell, REXEC, RSH, or XDMCP connection protocols. The X application can be launched from within a Web browser, or from the WebTerm X Administrator program, or simply by clicking on an icon on the user's desktop.

WebTerm X transparently provides secure encrypted communications by using Powerlan's Secure Shell client, TunnelMate. TunnelMate is launched automatically whenever the user launches an X client configured with the Secure Shell connection protocol. The underlying complexities and the encrypted Secure Shell tunnel of the X connection remain hidden to the WebTerm X user.

WebTerm X comes with even more security with  Host Access Control. Host Access Control provides an option to limit access to your X Server either within or outside of an XDM session. WebTerm X also provides user-based access control which can be used to supplement or replace host access control. A connection will be accepted when the "Authorize Users" feature is active, WebTerm X will only accept connections which contain a valid user authorization.

Benefits of WebTerm X
Users benefit greatly from WebTerm X because the X Server looks and feels like it is built into the Microsoft Windows system it is running on. There are no application interfaces for the end user to learn, and no user configuration needed. WebTerm X loads into memory when needed, then silently goes away when no longer required.

Administrators benefit greatly from WebTerm X's ability to be deployed centrally to an entire organization within minutes. Large and small organizations alike no longer need worry about upgrades and maintenance. Upgrading takes nothing more than a single mouse click and the end user is updated. No fuss, no hassle.
