WebTerm X Frequently Asked Questions

Does WebTerm X support the DGL (Distributed Graphics Library) extension?

WebTerm X does not support DGL. The Distributed Graphics Library, which uses the DGL extension, is SGI's proprietary hardware dependent graphics library. Unfortunately, the numerous display systems that personal computers have are not included in the library of supported hardware. There are no plans to add DGL support to WebTerm X.
The non-proprietary hardware independent version of SGI's graphics library is OpenGL. OpenGL uses the GLX extension. It might be added to WebTerm X in a future version. If you would like to see OpenGL added to WebTerm X please contact Technical Support.
Please note: The OpenGL and DGL extensions are not interchangeable. If your X Client requires DGL it will not work with OpenGL.
