Can I force specific fonts to be used?
If an X client accepts the -fn command line option you can launch that client with a specific font, as long as the font is available in the X environment by its full name or a font alias. For example, the command line could look like one of the following:
xterm -fn adobe-courier-normal-100-12-32-IS08890
xterm -fn courier12
