WebTerm X Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the session not appear on the web page?

The probably cause of the session not appearing on the web page is that either the .wtx or .htm files have become corrupted. Also the file could have the incorrect syntax while editing the EMBED statement in the WebTerm X web page.
The EMBED tag should look something like this:
<EMBED
TYPE=application/x-webtermx
SRC="suntan.wtx"
URL="rexec://jdoe:%3Bp%3CfUj7+O1Ue0mACTlDxUMwK@suntan/sh -c 'DISPLAY=$$ME$$%3B export DISPLAY%3B %2Fusr%2Fopenwin%2Fbin%2Fxterm';PasswordState=wp;TryOther=no"
PLUGINSPAGE=http://www.powerlan-usa.com/webterm_x/wtx-pluginspage.html
WIDTH=406
HEIGHT=306
TOPLEVEL=OFF
WM_NAME=*
KEEPALIVE=0
AUTOSTART=ON
XTIMEOUT=45
REPORT_FONT_ERRS=ON
WM_ENABLE=OFF
PROTECT_COLORS=0
XROOT_TOOLBAR=ON
SCREENDPI=96
SEARCH100FIRST=OFF
FRAME_CLICK=OFF
WIN_MAX_SCREEN=ON
CONVERT_24BIT_IMAGES=OFF
SCREENDEPTH=0
XSERVER_NUMBER=0
UUID=1297758317-971385240
></EMBED>
Please note: Notice how the EMBED statement's attributes end with a closing ">" after the open EMBED. This is correct. Do not add a ">" directly after the open EMBED tag or the browser will think there are no attributes at all on the EMBED statement and no WebTerm X session will appear on the web page. The </EMBED> is an optional HTML statement to end the <EMBED> statement.
