Why do users see different hosts than I do?
XDM broadcasts do not pass through most routers. Depending on your network topology, an XDM broadcast you perform from your Administrator program and test web pages can differ from what various users will see when the open the web pages from their PCs.
Using an XDM connection method that specifies a host name (versus broadcast) allows you to configure sessions that let authorized users connect to a specific host. See XDM Local Indirect Query and Local Indirect Query-First in the WebTerm X User Manual for more information.
