WebTerm Frequently Asked Questions

How do I copy and paste text within WebTerm?

Because of the browser's limitations, the Web browser's Edit, Copy and Edit, and Paste menu items will not work with text selected in the terminal window. Instead, use the copy and paste keyboard commands for your operating system:
- To copy text from a terminal window to the clipboard, highlight the desired text and press Control + C (Windows) or Command + C (Macintosh).
- To paste text from the clipboard to a terminal window, place the cursor at the desired insertion point and press Control + V (Windows) or Command + V (Macintosh).
Please Note: The character set of the receiving application will determine what is displayed when text is pasted. Alternately, when embedding the WebTerm terminal in a web page, you can create copy and paste JavaScript or VBScript buttons using the WebTerm API for CopySelectionToClipBoard() and PasteClipBoardSelection().
