Support - WebTerm - Back-end could not be loaded

WebTerm Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I get the message "WebTerm Back-end could not be loaded or was terminated"?

The error message "WebTerm back-end could not be loaded or was terminated." indicates that the browser was either unable to locate or run the WebTerm Client.  Typically this is due to one of the following situations:

  • The web page (.html file) is not referencing the .WTS file properly.  Check the embed statement in the .html file to verify that it correctly points to the .WTS file.  The .WTS file contains the information that the WebTerm client needs to run the session.
  • The WebTerm Plug-in may be in the browser's plug-in folder but the WebTerm Client has been removed from the computer or been moved since the WebTerm Plug-in was installed.
  • The WebTerm Client could not start or was stopped.  Reload the Web page and it should restart the WebTerm Client.
