Support - WebTerm - Won't work with my web server

WebTerm Frequently Asked Questions

Why does WebTerm not work with my Web server -even after setting the MIME type?

Please review your Web server documentation for any specific steps required in setting the MIME type.
Common steps over looked include:
  • The Web server may need to be restarted before any changes made to the MIME type take effect (Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) version 3 required that you restart the Windows NT server).
  • MIME type entries may be case sensitive - set up both .wts and .WTS MIME types.
  • You may have conflicting and or duplicate entries for the .WTS MIME type.
  • If the MIME type has not taken effect then the user may be prompted to download the unrecognized file, have the .WTS file's text displayed to the screen, or receive an error of "WebTerm back-end could not be loaded or was terminated."
To isolate potential problems with a Web server, have the user save known good .HTM and .WTS files to their local hard disk and then open the .htm in their browser. If WebTerm works with the local files, it is a clear indication that the Web server is not set up correctly.
