WebTerm Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there a "broken puzzle piece" instead of a WebTerm terminal window?

The broken puzzle piece indicates that the browser recognizes that there is a plug-in referenced on that Web page but is unable to run it. This error may occur for several reasons when loading a WebTerm page from a Web server:
- The .wts file is incorrectly referenced.
- The WebTerm MIME type is not set.
- There is a faulty installation of the WebTerm Plug-in.
- To determine if the problem is with the Web server, save the .htm and .wts file to your desktop and then open the .htm file in your browser. If you still have the broken puzzle piece showing then there is likely a problem with either the files you downloaded or with your installation of WebTerm on that system.
- If the same files work on another system, it indicates that you have a faulty installation of the WebTerm Plug-in. Try reinstalling, being sure to ensure you are installing the plug-in to your Web browser's plug-in folder.
