How do I launch DECwindows Session Manager from eXodus?

  1. Copy the TCPSESSION.COM file from your eXodus installation disks to the default directory in your account on the VMS system (or re-type it as follows);
                $ set display/create/node='P1'/transport=tcpip
                $ spawn/input=nl: mcr decw$session

  2. Choose Connection Manager from the Connections menu.

  3. Click rexec/rsh.

  4. Type the name of the client script in the Title text box.

  5. Type the name of the host in the Host text box.

  6. Type the username of the account that can access client applications on the host computer.

  7. Click None if the account does not require a password, Prompt if the account does require a password or type in a password.

  8. Select either REXEC or RSH from the Command Processor pop-up menu to select the command processor that the DECwindows host is using.

  9. In the Command text box, type:  @TCPSESSION $$IP$$

  10. Click Save.

  11. Click connect or choose the name from the Connections menu to launch the client.
