Support - eXodus - remapping the keyboard

eXodus Frequently Asked Questions

How do I remap the eXodus keyboard?

Keyboard remapping is done on the host and then saved by eXodus for future use.

Note: typically on a Unix host you would use the xmodmap application to remap the keyboard.  Instructions
on how to use xmodmap are usually available in the man pages of your Unix host. If not, please see your
system administrator.  See eXodus FAQ How do I set the function of the delete key to the backspace key?

To save the keymap for future use, open the Settings menu, select Server settings and choose the icon for keyboard mapping.   The keyboard mapping panel appears.  Click Save Current Keymap, give it a filename and it is put in the Extras folder of eXodus. After eXodus resets the selected keymap becomes active.
