Support - eXodus - Making a secure connection

eXodus Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a secure connection using eXodus?

Many companies are requiring secure connections to their hosts.  Usually, it is to encrypt passwords from prying eyes.  At this point eXodus has a SSH feature built in for OS X, but there is a work around until we incorporate into OS 8.6-9.2.1.  To do this, have eXodus open on your Mac, make a separate SSH connection, activate an X application and it will come through to eXodus.

Note: 1. You will need X11 forwarding enabled in your SSH client.
           2. If you re-direct the display to your Mac's IP address your are not going through the tunnel of SSH.

eXodus 8.0 is now in production and has SSH available on OS X.
