eXodus Frequently Asked Questions

How do I  install eXodus?

The procedure for installing eXodus is as follows:

1. Quit any running applications and turn off all virus protection software.
2. Turn off all non-apple extensions before starting the installation by selecting Extensions Manager from the Control Panel. 
3. Select Mac OS base from the Selected Set pop-up menu on the Extensions Manager window, and restart your Macintosh.
4. Insert the eXodus CD into your DC-ROM drive.  Double-click the "Install eXodus for Macintosh" icon.  The eXodus introductory installation screen displays on your desktop.
5. Click Continue to start the eXodus installation.  The Read Me will display.
6. After you read this important information, click Continue.  The eXodus Installer window appears with the default option for Easy Install selected.  
7. Choose either Easy Install or Custom Install item.  For more information click the Info box next to each item.
8. For Easy Install click OK.  For Custom Install select the items you wish to install and then click OK. 
9. Select a place to install the items listed in the eXodus Installer window.  Do this from the Install Location drop-down menu and click Install.
10. Click OK or Restart in the Installation Successful window.  If you have installed communication drivers, the window displays a message suggesting you restart your computer.
