5PM Term, WebTerm, and eXodus on Mac OS X release
Powerlan is pleased to announce that since the release of Mac OS X, our software products for the Macintosh will run in 9.1 mode seamlessly, without any known issues. And in "Classic" mode within Mac OS X, with the minor exception of using eXodus with two XDM sessions, CDE and Open Windows. eXodus runs very well but may have some potential issues appearing depending on which XDM session manager you choose. This is due to the entirely new method OS X handles screen redrawing. This is very good news for customers who wish to upgrade to Mac OS X and continue to have the best in the class of terminal emulation and X server software!
To run Powerlan Terminal Emulators or X Servers on Mac OS X you will need to install them under Mac OS 9.1 on the OS 9.1 partition of your Mac OS X installation, then boot back into Mac OS X and simply double click the icon for 5PM Term, WebTerm, or eXodus, and it will run as a "Classic" Mac application. To get and install Mac OS X and learn more about it, visit the Apple website or call an Apple Reseller nearest you!
